Tissington & The Tissington Trail:
6 Miles Tissington - Tissington Trail - Alsop en le Dale - Parwich - Bletch Brook - Tissington
The walk starts at the Tissington Trail car park in Tissington. Turn left out of the car park and down into Tissington. Turn right up the broad main street. At the top of the village near Hands Well turn right and right again following the road back to the car park.Turn left in the car park and follow the Tissington Trail to Alsop en le Dale car park. Here turn right and descend over pasture to a road. Turn right along the road into the village.Just past the last house on the left a path climbs a small bank, follow this way marked path across fields and through a wood eventually descending to a road. Turn left along the road into Parwich.On entering Parwich look out for a finger post marked 'Tissington 2 Miles', after exploration of the village this is the path back to Tissington.The path leads over fields and descends down to cross Bletch Brook by a footbridge. Ascend the hill opposite to a bridge over the Tissington Trail. Cross the bridge and then turn left down a path and onto the Tissington Trail back to Tissington.

Milldale To Hartington Via Narrowdale: 4.5 Miles Milldale - Alstonefield - Narrowdale - Beresford Dale - Hartington
From the car park walk into the village and turn left past Polly's Cottage and up Millway Lane and into Alstonefield.On entering the village turn right and then left down a wide track. Just before Gratton Hill turn left through a stile and follow this path across fields to an intersection with another path. Here turn right through a stile, cross the lane and go through another stile onto the slopes of Narrowdale Hill.Follow this path above Narrowdale, eventually descending to a farm. Go through the farm and turn right, the path now winds down into Beresford Dale. Head north through Beresford Dale passing Pike Pool and cross the river by the footbridge. Follow this path all the way into Hartington.

Dovedale & Milldale: 5 Miles Thorpe - Stepping Stones - Thorpe Cloud - Lovers Leap - Tissington Spires - Reynards Cave - Lions Head Rock - Ilam Rock - Pickering Tor - Dove Holes - Ravens Tor - Milldale.
This is a linear there and back walk starting at the main car park at Thorpe.Follow the path on the Staffordshire side of the River Dove, if the water level looks high it may be advisable to cross the river at the footbridge and walk beneath Thorpe Cloud to the stepping stones.If the river level is normal follow the tarmac path to the stepping stones cross the river and continue along on the Derbyshire side of the Dove. There are no route finding problems the path continues along the river until reaching Milldale. At Milldale you can obtain refreshments at Polly's Cottage before retracing your steps back to Thorpe.

Wolfscote & Beresford Dale: 7 Miles
Hartington - Beresford Dale - Wolfscote Dale - Iron Tors - Biggin - Dale - Hartington
The walk has an inauspicious start through a stile next to the toilets in Hartington. The path descends gently over rolling farmland through Morson Wood and into Beresford Dale. The path immediately crosses to the other side of the river and alongside Pike Pool. The path then crosses the river again back into Derbyshire over a water meadow and into Wolfscote Dale.Eventually you reach Biggin Dale which leads off to the left, but our walk continues to Coldeaton footbridge and Iron Tors. Retrace your steps here back to Biggin Dale. Follow the dry Biggin Dale around Wolfscote Hill, where the path forks take the left hand path and then immediately left again up a slight rise and onto a quiet lane which leads back to Hartington.
