Harleys Hydro

 

Harleys Hydro is contemporary in design yet full of original features; wooden floors, beams, sash windows. Recently renovated the integrated kitchen includes granite surfaces and the large bathroom features a granite floor on which stands an orignal cast iron bath. There are paroramic views of the Derwent Valley.

SLEEPING 2 in one large bedroom with king size bed. Snuggle into Hungarian Goose Down bedding and Egyption Cotton sheets.

RELAXING With Leather sofas and chaires, log burner, huge wall mounted Sky TV, DVD, WI-FI, large selection of DVDs, games and books it will be easy to sit back and relax.

COOKING The contemporary open plan kitchen includes granite surfaces and integrated units with fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and electric oven. Theres a sleek ceramic hob and double butlers style sink too. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need including cafetiere, champagne glasses etc.

EXTRAS Celebrate your arrival with champage, chocolates and roses. Basics are also included; tea (including Earl Grey & Darjeeling), coffee, salt, pepper, oil (including Olive Oil), vinigar (including Red & White wine), herbs, plus tea towels & cleaning supplies.

BATHING The large bathroom has granite tiles, a deep, original Victorian Bath, a separate shower cubical with a powerful large overhead rose head and separate shower hose.

PETS Unfortunately no pets are allowed at Harleys Hydro.

ENJOY THE LOCAL PUBS The Sycamore Inn is just a two minute walk. You can walk for a further 10-15 minutes into Matlock where there are is a good section of pubs and Resturants.

HIKE THE HILLS You will find maps and guide books in the cottage to help plan your days outside, from local walks around Matlock to numerous trails to explore - all very accessible by foot, bike...or pony (trekking centre just Nr Tissington)! And for something more challenging try High Tor, Matlock Dale and the Heights of Abraham.

 

TOUR THE TOWNS Matlock offers plenty of speciality shops to wander around & cafes to try (The Cosy Cafe gets a thumbs up) and theres a great park to let the dogs have a run and the kids to play, whilst the ancient town of Bakewell is a 15 minute drive and famous ofcourse, for it's Bakwell Pudding! There a lots of speciality shops to wander around and a great museum set out the way it would have looked centuries ago. Cromford is only a 10 minute drive away and is steeped in history, being listed as a World Heritage Site because of Sir Richard Arkwright credited for inventing the spinning frame.

VISIT THE ATTACTIONS Most famously is Chatsworth House and is only a short drive but close too and well worth a visit is Haddon Hall, one of Englands' finest examples of a medieval manor house. The younger kids will love Gullivers' Kingdom and The Heights of Abraham is for anyone (unless you don't like heights!) to enjoy the stunning scenery from high above in a cable car.
